Strategy & Implementation Planning
- Diagnose current state of business across priority functions and help define long-term objectives and initiatives for overall organization and individual business units.
- Prioritize strategic initiatives, and define implementation plan and KPIs.
- Prepare compelling visual materials to communicate vision and implementation plan to relevant stakeholders.
Relevant experience:
- At McKinsey, I designed a large-scale nationwide implementation plan of 10+ prioritized initiatives for a large Mexican public healthcare provider, and led team coordinating across different initiatives.
- Advised a global spirits player on expansion into new distribution channels to reach double-digit 5-year growth.
- Advised a global pharmaceuticals company on a commercial transformation program of its Mexican operations - including salesforce optimization, product portfolio streamlining and new product launch - expected to deliver over $500m in sales.
Project Management (PMO/ PMI)
- Define project milestones, and manage multiple work streams with internal and client team members.
- Set up Project Management Office (PMO) to track the progress and impact of ongoing initiatives.
- Help coordinate initiative alignment and implementation across initiative leads.
- Identify red flags, escalate issues, and help remove bottlenecks.
- Design reporting templates and report on KPIs to senior management.
Relevant experience:
- 10 years of project management experience with McKinsey, Polymath Ventures and as an independent consultant, managing teams of 10+ people.
- As an independent consultant, led the merger integration PMO in Spain, Portugal, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, and Global Complex Trading Entities for a multinational pharma company, coordinating initiatives across 12 functions.
- At McKinsey, I set up and led the PMO team for a Mexican beverage player coordinating four commercial transformation initiatives.
- At McKinsey, I led the PMO for the nationwide implemention of 10 strategic initiatives for a large Mexican public healthcare provider.
- At McKinsey, I designed and implemented a performance management system for a leading Mexican pharmaceutical company.
Due Diligence / Mergers & Acquisitions
- Define inorganic strategy, consistent with overall strategy.
- Perform market scans and prioritize potential targets/ partners.
- Strategic industry and target due diligence.
- Financial modeling, synergy and valuation assessment.

- Performed industry and target due diligence projects in: healthcare technology, medical devices, drugs of abuse testing, recycled core boards, vocational training, inspection services in power generation/distribution.
- Worked in Morgan Stanley's Strategy and M&A Execution Group in New York City, assessing targets and executing deals in financial services space.
- Worked in McKinsey´s Global New Ventures Inorganic team, assessing targets in infrastructure and Sales & Marketing space.
- Worked in Dresdner Kleinwort Global Banking / Mergers & Acquisitions team in New York City, covering Food, Retail and Consumer clients.
